Tom Bull (b.1995) lives and works in London. His sculptures, videos and installations explore the tension-filled landscapes of urban and rural life. With a wide range of tools and materials borrowed from vernacular architecture, aspirational design, folk horror, heavy industry, and rural craft. Bull employs a sculptural practice that investigates the uneasy frictions between hedonism and austerity, escapism and reality, desire and violence, and tradition and rupture. Bull has completed large-scale commissions for various institutions including Turf Projects, London; and Yetea Museum, Chilgok, Korea. He has presented solo exhibitions with OUTPOST Gallery x St Chads, Norwich; Mucciaccia Gallery, London and E-WERK, Freiburg, DE as well as numerous international group shows. He has been the recipient of the Elephant Trust, Gilbert Bayes Grant, and the Thomas Scholarship at UCL.
