Jungwon Jay Hur's (b.1996) artistic practice is an intricate exploration of both intercultural and personal narratives, weaving together a diverse range of influences that span art history, Korean and Western folk music, and 20th-century European cinema. She believes in the collaboration of materials – ranging from painting, printmaking and ceramics - and their inter-being within her practice. She has recently presented solo and group exhibitions at Guts Gallery, London; Third Born, Mexico City, MX; Hive Contemporary Art, Shanghai, CN; Cabin, Berlin, DE; Incubator, London; Platforma2, Barcelona and Lokal Gallery, Helsinki. Jay's works are held in private collections internationally.
