Hazel O’Sullivan (b.1998) lives and works in London. O'Sullivan is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the afterlives of colonial collections, Irish mythologies, and speculative forms of prototype and architecture. She works across sculpture, painting, drawing, and digital fabrication to reposition cultural artefacts and visual languages from Ireland within contemporary discourses of exhibition history and display. The interplay of analogue and digital is central to the language of her work, drawing from her alternative epistemological research into the coexistence of religious manuscripts, mythology, and retrofuturism. Hazel has presented solo exhibitions at Kerlin Gallery, Dublin; LAB Gallery, Dublin and Solstice Arts Centre, Co. Meath. She has been included in numerous group exhibitions internationally, has undertaken international artist residencies and been the recipient of The Maffioli Art Group and The Morrison & Foerster Art Prize and The Agility Award from the Arts Council Ireland.
