Max Lamb (b.1980) lives and works in London. He is an acclaimed British designer known for his original – if not obstinate – design language: true to his unique approach, he creates modern classics that are often like pieces of art, yet still exceedingly functional. A graduate from London’s Royal College of Art, Lamb favours natural, uncomplicated materials like wood and metal, skilfully reshaping them with a combination of traditional and highly innovative methods. Lamb’s works are collected by numerous public institutions around the world, including the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, the Design Museum Gent in Belgium, The Design Museum in London, SFMOMA in San Francisco and the Odunpazarı Modern Museum in Eskişehir, Turkey.
